“Worldwide workers’ stories”

Sacmi Imola presents a book about its assembly technicians illustrating some unforgettable experiences of work and life.

At 10 am on Saturday 3rd December at the Sacmi assembly hall the public will be presented with “Storie di operai nel mondo” (Worldwide workers’ stories) written by Andrea Pagani and edited by Bacchilega.
To mark the occasion Valter Galavotti, Culture Councillor from the Imola Town Council, Domenico Olivieri, President of Sacmi Imola, Valerio Zanotti, chief editor of the Bacchilega publishing house, the historian Quinto Casadio and the author of the book will all be attending the event.
This volume aims to show new generations – especially young people considering a career as a travelling technician – the fascinating work experiences of those already in the profession. The travelling technician, in fact, is no longer a mere assembler (a term that is now obsolete) but a highly specialised professional capable of handling, as always, problems and challenges as and when they arise.
