"E-learning for industry". Sacmi among the event organisers.

III National E-learning Convention held in Milan on 7th May 2009

The Assembly Hall of Ucima (Italian Union of Automatic Packaging Machine Constructors) at Cinisello Balsamo (MI) recently hosted the III National E-learning Convention, sponsored by Siel (the Italian E-learning Society). This year’s event was titled “Methodologies for greater efficiency and savings in corporate training: technical assistance, marketing promotion, sales network skills”.

All renowned experts in the field of distance learning, the speakers provided a good overview of the e-learning world and offered several viewpoints concerning e-learning in the business world. Three industrial case studies were presented (Datalogic, SCM and Sacmi); the speakers’ main goals were to show how strategic areas such as marketing, pre-sales, after-sales and specialised personnel training can be managed successfully via the implementation of e-learning solutions, effectively responding to the dual needs of effective internal training and suitable final customer assistance.

For Sacmi, Cinzia Gennarelli (web marketing manager) and Alberto Bianchi (training manager of the Closures division) illustrated how online training can act as a global corporate knowledge management platform.

Attended by about forty companies, the event proved to be successful and the level of interest in the subject matter was high. There were lively post-talk Q&A sessions and the overall spirit in the hall was one of involvement and interaction with the speakers.

For UCIMA, this appointment was part of an internal E-learning programme, which begun on 3rd July 2008 with the meeting organised at SACMI IMOLA, one of the first Italian companies to activate e-learning services successfully.
