All the latest from Sacmi at Tecnargilla ‘04

Rimini-based fair set to bolster Sacmi’s reputation as the ceramic industry’s leading innovator.

There’s a sharp sense of expectation surrounding the cutting-edge technology Sacmi will be presenting at Tecnargilla 2004. At the 19th edition of the fair, to be held from 1st to 5th October, the Group aims to reinforce its role as the leading innovator in the ceramic industry with a gigantic exhibition area of over two thousand square metres (in hall B1). Representing the Ceramic&Tiles Division will be Sacmi Imola, Sacmi Molds&Dies, Kemac and Keratech, while exhibitors from the Whiteware Division shall include Sacmi Imola, Niv, Gaiotto and Sama.
Sacmi will be exhibiting a wide range of products at Tecnargilla: taking centre-stage will be the PH4900, the latest in the high-productivity Power press range (maximum pressing force 4900 tons) and the new Monolithos DCM 175 filler box for whole-body products. Also basking in the limelight will be the sophisticated touch-screen Sailor control panel and Global, the double-arm sorting line. In the traditional products (brick and roof tile) sector, the focus will be on Espresso Rooftile, fast firing technology specially designed for roof tiles, and Grèsestruso Rapido™, a porcelain tile production method that uses extrusion technology. For Whiteware, the Libra CC™, an innovative system for the control of high-pressure casting cycles, and Glasting™, the glaze-casting procedure that glazes the inner surfaces of WC bowls, will be on show.
Moving on to other companies in the Ceramics&Tiles Group, note also that Sacmi Molds&Dies will be revealing the most advanced version of its renowned SFS upper moulding die and that Kemac will be premiering an automatic system for abrasive water-jet cutting and decoration of tiles known as Cross Cut. Keratech will be displaying its entire range of ceramic rollers. For Whiteware, instead, Niv will be exhibiting the ADM080, the new single-mould high pressure (up to 15 bar) casting machine for the production of sanitaryware, together with a de-moulding and handling robot by Gaiotto, a company also exhibiting pre-drying finishing solutions for the completed green product.
Finally, the Sacmi Whiteware stand will be hosting specialists from Sama Maschinenbau GmbH, the leading international supplier of ceramic plants and machinery for the tableware industry which joined the Group in 1997. Also in hall B1 will be two independent stands illustrating the recent German acquisitions, Laeis, which will display its range of machines and services for the ceramic industry, and the historic brand name of Riedhammer, which in addition to being a sanitaryware and tableware firing specialist, designs kilns for a wide range of products from technical ceramic to carbon.
