Analysis of the current and future ceramic industry at a conference in Castellon – Valencia (Spain)

Sacmi to join up with ATC (Spanish Association of technical Ceramic Producers) to assess the world ceramic situation

An important seminar is scheduled to start at 5 p.m., this coming 24th March at the Chamber of Commerce of Castellón (Spain).

Leading figures from Sacmi – the top designer, developer and producer of machines and technology for the ceramic industry – have been invited to analyse the current situation, assess the worldwide ceramic industry’s future prospects and present the latest efficiency-enhancing production technology.

The event will open with a welcome speech by Pietro Cassani, Sacmi Imola’s General Manager and President of Acimac (the Italian Association of Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers). Afterwards Giorgio Burzacchini will illustrate the international situation in the ceramic industry: his assessment will start with the Italian market and go on to cover world markets.
Andrea Bresciani, instead, will be introducing innovative Continua technology, used to produce tiles of any shape and thickness, while Claudio Ricci will point out the advantages of the new wet-type digital decoration systems for the ceramic industry. Ferdinando Cassani, instead, will illustrate the advantages of the new H.E.R.O. (High Efficiency Resource Optimiser) systems where applied to tile production.
Cesare Pegoraro will close the meeting with a talk on ceramic roller innovations.

The backdrop to the meeting will inevitably be the global economic crisis, which has hit both the ceramic industry and more developed markets such as Spain, which has always been a key reference point for the Sacmi Group. Nevertheless, in this seminar Sacmi aims to underline, once again, that the only way out of this international stagnation is through technological and production innovation, quality enhancement and more efficient allocation of energy resources.

Participation in the event is free of charge and open to everyone working in the ceramic industry.
