Brand new Gaiotto line for Ceramica Azzurra

Fully automated and ready to handle output rates of up to 600 pieces per shift

Tens years have gone by since Ceramica Azzurra of Civita Castellana was supplied with the first glazing turret, which allowed it to reinforce its core policy – a constant since its founding in 1985 – of providing final customers with innovative products (the WCs from the Thin and Jubilaeum series use just 2.7 litres to flush) that are high quality yet price-competitive. Now as then, Gaiotto Automation (the Sacmi Group company that specialises in the design and provision of automated solutions for ceramic and whiteware) remains a strategic partner.

This latest order, currently being installed at the Azzurra plant, is a brand new robotised glazing line for the production of both Fine Fire Clay and Vitreous China pieces. The key elements of the line are the piece bed conveyor with 35 supports and the “Visus Centering” piece positioning system that works in conjunction with the three glazing booths where three in-line robots also operate.

Able to handle a good 600 pieces per shift, this all-new line will allow Azzurra to boost the efficiency of the entire production process considerably: all thanks to, once again, the Gaiotto-built automated solutions that have, over the years, given this Sacmi Group company a key strategic role in the competiveness and development of the Civita Castellana sanitaryware manufacturing district.
