Brazilian manufacturer Luzarte chooses Sacmi glazing line

The South American company has successfully installed and put into operation a brand new glazing plant complete with GA 2000 robot

Luzarte, manufacturer of high quality sanitaryware on the Brazilian market ever since 1961, recently chose Sacmi to complete its plant renovation project at his factory in Caruaru, in the state of Pernambuco.

The new plant, which was delivered at the end of October and put into production in just one month, to the great satisfaction of the South-American customer, is made up of an automatic glazing line provided with a 4-position carousel and 8-axis GA 2000 robot.

Complete with “off-line” programming and a “mass control” system for the monitoring and optimization of the quantity of glaze applied, the GA 2000 glazing robot stands out for its reliability and accuracy ensuring top quality glazed surfaces and minimum glaze wastage.

Sacmi has also supplied the 4-movement loading/unloading system which is driven by electric motors supplied with inverters and position encoders. This enables the pieces to be picked up and deposited on conveyor belts (before and after glazing) thus facilitating the quality control procedures to be carried out by the operators.
