Caesar Sanitaryware Co. renews its firing department

Two new Sacmi-Riedhammer kilns have been already assembled

At the Ho Chi Minh City plant, Vietnam, Sacmi has just tested two new kilns built by Riedhammer, the Sacmi Group company based in Nuremburg.
Renowned Taiwanese brand Caesar Sanitaryware has chosen to renew the firing department of its Vietnamese plant by purchasing a new TWS 87/300/80-G tunnel kiln (featuring EMS technology and equipped with a fast DWS 9/300/80-W pre-drier) and an HWS 9/600/140 –G shuttle kiln for subsequent re-firing.

The Ho Chi Minh City plant manufactures over 1,300,000 articles of Vitreous China and Fine Fire Clay sanitaryware every year; the Caesar designer team has, in fact, developed a series of refined products that feature outstanding Italian styling and quality.
The incorporation of Sacmi/Riedhammer kilns in the production process cannot help but result in a combination of boosted quality and reduced production costs thanks to lower fuel consumption.

The tunnel kiln is 87 m long and has an effective load width of 3 m; equipped with the EMS (Energy Management System), it provides outstanding, cutting-edge energy efficiency.
Combustion air is preheated up to 400°C, thus reducing specific energy consumption by up to 20%.
Moreover, the kiln supplies a constant volume of air - about 19,000 m3/h at a temperature of 160°C – to upstream production systems.
Currently producing some 2300 pcs/day, the tunnel kiln thus supplies about 35 tons of fired products a day with a 15-hour firing cycle.
The re-fire HWS kiln has a firing chamber volume of 75 m3, is 9 metres long and has an effective load width of 6 metres. The six kiln cars have a total carrying capacity of 95 pieces, distributed over two load levels.

Designed entirely with the most modern energy saving technologies using only high quality materials, these kilns are built with only the finest European components; their construction also includes widespread use of stainless steel and European high temperature refractory materials to ensure long-lasting reliability for many years to come.
