Ceramica Faro goes for a Sacmi-built kiln

Faro decides on a single-layer FMS 201 to produce small, differently-structured items

A brand new 75.6-metre single-layer FMS 201 kiln is now operative at the Faro di Veggia ceramic plant near Reggio Emilia in Northern Italy.
The result of in-depth Sacmi research, this kiln has been specially designed to produce small items, mainly 10x10 cm tiles of varying structure and aesthetics. It is also able to operate with 16x16 and 20x20 cm tiles.
Kiln design is somewhat original, with a distance between roller centre of 47.7 mm and a roller diameter of 33.7 mm. The Sacmi technical team has also come up with special devices that allow the kiln to be shut down frequently for product changeover purposes without in any way damaging the components of the kiln itself.
