Ceramica Globo – Italy

Hydraulic Robot to be replaced by electric GA900V Robot

The automatic glazing line supplied to the Ceramica Globo plant in Civita Castellana (Viterbo, Italy) has now been developed even further thanks to the application of highly innovative, advanced technology. What makes this plant so innovative is the installation of an overhead swing conveyor; designed to provide efficient, automated piece handling, this system does not require the presence of an operator and eliminates the manual work usually associated with handling. Built using cutting-edge technology, the plant also features the latest GA900EV electric robot, which replaces the previous hydraulic version. The result of a blend of technical know-how and constant innovation, the GA900EV provides optimum performance thanks to the Digital Signal Processing system, which allows adaptation to a vast range of external devices and thus permits implementation of highly sophisticated production solutions. Moreover, the programming carried out via traditional “self-learning” and “point-to-point” programming is now available with an innovative “off-line” system: this allows, through digitisation of the piece and subsequent modelling via dedicated software, simulation of trajectories the generation or work programs.
