Certification counts

A healthy working environment with efficient production facilities and safety systems is an essential requisite for all businesses.

Sacmi Imola is well aware of this and has recently renewed its quality and environmental management certificates, going on to integrate them with Health and Safety certification. Certification, especially where of the integrated type, is also a way of informing the market that the business adopts proper working practices, that it is dedicated to continuous improvement and that its aims to offer guarantees for both employees and customers. Progressive reduction of accidents in the workplace, increased safety and diminished impact of its activities on worker health and the surrounding environment all remain prime Sacmi goals. In recent years significant resources have been channelled into safety, training and health: that policy resulted in Sacmi winning the Airc “Active Enterprise” award for its rigorous employee health checks. Now, in keeping with the legislation in force (Italian D.Lgs. 629/94 and 494/96), Sacmi has raised its level of awareness even further by launching a cycle that includes careful evaluation of risk, goals and investments and the extension of training and information programs.
