Claudio Marani joins the Acimac board

Sacmi’s Ceramics & Tiles Deputy Manager to cover a key position in this Confindustria association

Claudio Marani has been nominated member of the Board of Directors of Acimac, the national association of ceramic machinery makers within the Confindustria organisation. Mr. Marani joined the Group in1981 and is currently General Manager of the Sacmi Imola Ceramics&Tiles division.
He shall be replacing Eugenio Emiliani at Acimac until the next general assembly in 2005. "I’m honoured to have been nominated”, said Mr. Marani, “ as Acimac is one of the most important of all the Confindustria associations.
I hope to make a positive contribution to the effective representation and promotion of all the companies in this industry, whether large or small, as they are essential to the economic performance of Italy as a nation and provide an outstanding example of how Italian technology is often the best in the world".
Acimac is a national association which represents and assists Italian enterprises supplying complete plants, systems, machines, equipment, semi-finished products, raw materials and services to the ceramic and brick/refractory industries.
The association represents 112 companies (i.e. nearly all those in the industry), which, together, lead the world in the field of ceramic plant engineering.
