Cookware: new press now available

The PHP5000 is a high-tonnage press for the production of aluminium articles up to 195 mm high

A high-tonnage oil-hydraulic press designed to produce cookware (pans and similar cooking objects) via the cold pressing of aluminium sheeting. The Sacmi PHP5000 generates a pressing force of up to 5 thousand tons, thus ensuring superb finishing, localised variation of pressed sheet thickness and thick pan bases. Thanks to a combination of massive pressing power and a long main piston stroke, the PHP5000 can be used to make a wide range of aluminium articles up to 195 mm high.
The PHP5000 oil-hydraulic circuit gives speed and flexibility. Automation is fully electronic and features PROFIBUS technology. No mechanical adjustment is required as all the parameters are programmed by the operator via an ergonomic, user-friendly graphic interface and saved on the memory of the control PC. The PHP5000 allows real-time control and adjustment of all parameters, thus ensuring precision and repeatability - cycle after cycle. Usable together with automatic loading-unloading units, the press already features all the safety devices needed for semi-automatic operation. Production changeovers can be completed quickly and require no mechanical adjustment. As a further precaution the PHP5000 also incorporates a series of devices designed to prevent any damage to dies as a result of incorrect positioning of the item being formed. Finally, pressure control systems ensure that the machine cannot be structurally overloaded (e.g. if two aluminium sheets are loaded at once).
