Dal Tile’s Mexican plant continues to expand

Sacmi: supplier of a new double-firing line

The North American Group, Dal Tile International Inc., the leading manufacturer, distributor and seller of ceramic tiles on the United States market, recently signed an agreement with Sacmi Imola concerning expansion of its production plant at Monterrey, Mexico. Sacmi shall be supplying a complete double-firing tile manufacturing line featuring rapid twin-channel roller kiln firing. The “body preparation” department is also to be renewed and will receive an important boost to capacity thanks to the addition of a continuous mill - the first to be installed by the Dal Tile Group in Mexico: this mill follows the other two already up and running at the other Dal Tile plant in El Paso, Texas. With this latest investment, Dal Tile’s Mexican plant is set to become one of the most advanced large-scale wall tile production plants in the world.
