Egyptian ceramic sets its sights on growth with Sacmi

Ceramica Cleopatra: the Sacmi Group has completed installation of a new plant capable of producing 35,000 square metres of white floor tile per day.

Ceramica Cleopatra, a key player on the global ceramic scene, is currently completing assembly of a new Sacmi plant at its “Fancy” factory in Ain Sokha, Egypt. This important investment will boost the Egyptian Group’s output capacity to 125,000 m2 of tiles per day. The new plant alone, which has 5 continuous mills, 3 spray driers, 8 presses, 8 horizontal driers and 4 kilns, will produce 35,000 square metres of white glazed and granito floor tile per day. Start-up is scheduled for the Spring. Products exiting this plant will, in part, be destined for the top end of the Egyptian market while the rest will be exported to the demanding Eastern market.
