FARR Ceramics: expansion of plate glazing department completed with SAMA

New glazing line TRIPLEX for plates tested.

FARR Ceramics is a leading Bangladeshi producer of high temperature porcelain tableware (hard porcelain).
A little more than two years after doubling output, the automatic glazing department has been completed with a second TRIPLEX machine, produced by SAMA, the Sacmi group company skilled in the production of tableware machinery having its facilities in Weissenstadt, Germany.

This flexible system fits seamlessly into the existing department alongside the first line, thus making it a ‘twin’ solution where the lines are interchangeable and easy to use.
The operator manually loads the feed conveyor - which includes an air jet station - and, subsequently, the pieces are automatically positioned on the carousel. The integrated production centre can glaze variously sized items with unfired diameters of up to 380 mm and depths of up to 240 mm.

Glaze is bath-applied and, at the outfeed, the feet of the glazed articles are cleaned on a two-speed conveyor.
Maximum line capacity is 1,500 pieces/hour

The department also includes a MONO 10 T cup glazing line with an output rate of 1,500 pieces / hour

With an output capacity of some 20 tons per day, FARR Ceramics is Bangladesh’s leading exporter of porcelain tableware articles, which are manufactured using the latest iso-pressing and automated glazing technology.

The company is ISO 9001:2008 certified and all products are made in compliance with US FDA Standards and Proposition 65 (State of California).
