Finding work at Sacmi is made easier thanks to the web

2000 personal résumés have already been received via the “job opportunities” section of the Sacmi website...

More than 2000 curriculum vitae have already reached Sacmi by means of the internet. On average, we receive ten applications a day by way of the job opportunities section of the Group portal. This section of Sacmi’s website is divided into two parts: one deals with offers of jobs within the company and the other with internships, training courses and opportunities for researching degree theses. Those interested are invited to use the extranet area to fill out a form and/or send their curriculum vitae directly to the company on line. This system is integrated with an internal management platform handled by the Personnel Development Manager. As far as the internships, training courses and degree thesis projects are concerned, on the other hand, the job opportunities section of the site provides an area reserved for the use of applicants and an area reserved for the bodies making the offer as well as all the proposals currently being offered by Sacmi. These are constantly up-dated. “The real added value that has been created by new technology and the web - underlines Cinzia Gennarelli, Web Marketing and eServices Manager for the Sacmi Group – lies in the strong degree of integration between the intranet and extranet areas as regards managing human resources within the Group”. This happens in the following way: “The intranet area - explains Gennarelli - enables interactive dialog to take place between the various company departments and the Personnel Development Manager. For example; if one company department requests a new member of personnel with a particular professional profile the system responds (thanks to an intelligent internal search engine) with a list of possible candidates who meet the search criteria entered”. This on line integrated system for handling job opportunities has been extended to include some of the Sacmi Group’s subsidiaries. “The web tool – stresses Gennarelli – has once again allowed us to optimize the flow of information inside the company and enabled all those involved to enjoy the full benefits of our eServices”.
