Going international with Sacmi

Iris, Marazzi and Emilceramica have chosen Sacmi technology for their overseas plants

The Italian ceramic industry sees Sacmi as its Number 1 partner: this is highlighted by the fact that three key Italian ceramic groups, Iris, Marazzi and Emilceramica have, over the last few years, applied a strategy of internationalisation that takes full advantage of the technology provided by the Sacmi Group.
In production facilities in the USA and Germany Iris has installed a plant consisting of a PH 4600 press, vertical driers and 120 m long FMS 255 kilns with relative grinding/spray drying systems.
For its Russian production plant (based about 50 km outside Moscow) Marazzi has purchased a Sacmi plant consisting of a PH 4800, horizontal driers and 120 m long FMS 255 kilns. Completing the plant are two continuous mills and spray driers.
In Ukraine, Sacmi has installed a porcelain tile production plant at the Emilceramica factory: this includes a PH 2890 press, a 120 m kiln, plus sorting and palletizing units. Sacmi also provides the body preparation equipment.
