Gresart is the proud owner of the largest kiln in Portugal

Additional boost to porcelanized stoneware production thanks to Sacmi equipment

New important purchase for Gresart ceramics, leading Portugese company specialized in the production of porcelanized stoneware.  Just a few weeks ago some Sacmi manufactured machines were put into production at the production plants in Oliveira do Bairro, that promise to considerably boost production in line with Gresart’s growth and development strategies.

The new plant consists of two model PH 4800 presses along with 19.7 m horizontal ECP ECP 235/19,7 roller driers with 5 channels. In addition an FMS 267/140,7 roller kiln, 2670 mm outlet and 140.7 meters long complete with a JMS 267/10,5 drier has been installed: this is the largest kiln presently installed in Portugal.

The new installation greatly increases Gresart’s production capacity:  with the data in hand  6000 square meters of glazed porcelanized stoneware, in reference size 50x50 cm, more can be produced per day. Gresart’s choice, confirms its trust in the Group: all the presses and driers present in the first production plant installed by the Portughese firm were purchased from Sacmi.
