High productivity with the new PH4900

This latest model from the Power series is characterised by an extensive filling width and fast forming cycles

The new PH4900 is the latest high-productivity Sacmi press from the Power range, which already includes the PH3800, PH4800 and the PH6200. This latest press is characterised by an extensive filling width and very high forming cycle speeds. As is now the tradition at Sacmi, the press structure is fully preloaded, the only solution that guarantees the required structural rigidity and reliability on machines of this size The hydraulic circuit consists of a battery of accumulators loaded by variable-delivery pumps that feed, under control of proportional valves, a flow rate/pressure multiplier. This architecture combines precision control of all technological parameters with very high output rates while simultaneously limiting maximum feed circuit pressure.
The PH4900 also features the latest SPE electronic proportional ejection device, now equipped with a new axes synchronisation board that provides precision, speed and total control of die planarity – characteristics ideal for large dies, which ensure all parts subject to wear have a long working life. Wiring uses Profibus technology in combination with PC-controlled inputs-outputs. This is a new architecture that aims to administer signals from the PC to all the adjustment and control devices according to a standard digital protocol. The operator interface consists of a push-button panel mounted on an articulated boom, complete with keyboard and large colour screen. These characteristics make the new PH4900 the ideal tool with which to attain high porcelain tile productivity; the pressing “island” is able to manage large technical granito products without any filling width limitations.
