Hu Chunhua, one of China’s leading politicians, visits Sacmi

The Secretary of Guangdong’s Chinese Communist Party, a leading figure in the province, was welcomed at the company this morning

This morning at 9 o’clock Hu Chunhua, the Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party of the Province of Guangdong, was welcomed by Sacmi as part of his visit to Emilia-Romagna. A rising star in the party and a man likely to become - according to Chinese public opinion - Prime Minister at the 2017 Congress, Hu Chunhua is, at just 50 years old, already a member of the Politburo to which China’s twenty most important leaders belong.

The Sacmi Group was today’s first stopover on a day that culminated in a meeting with Emilia Romagna’s President Errani. During his visit to the company Hu Chunhua was shown some of the technological excellence produced by Sacmi, which has always been attentive to relations with this Asian giant as the presence of not one, but two, branches in Guangdong clearly demonstrates.

Sacmi is, in fact, also a shareholder in Mandarin Capital Partners – which invests in medium-sized Italian and Chinese firms, mostly non-listed, with internationalisation projects in China and Europe respectively – and is a sponsor of Observatory Asia, a body that arose from close collaboration between the business and academic communities to ensure ongoing assessment of Italian-Asian economic relations.

Including Canton and Shenzhen, Guandong province has 104 million inhabitants and is China’s richest, most modern province; it was the first province to be visited by President Xi Jinping after he took office last 15th March. The Chinese Communist Party Secretary is the region’s leading political figure.
