Indonesia, new Sacmi supply for Arwana Citramulia

The new production plant, capable of producing almost 25 thousand sq.m of double-fired products a day, will start operating in 2016

A turnover that should reach three billion dollars in 2014 with a good possibility for development even in exports, due to the creation of a free trade area in Southeast Asia. This is the background of an important sale by Sacmi to the Indonesian Arwana Citramulia. Sacmi will supply a new plant for the production of double-firing red body floor tiles. When fully operational, the plant should produce almost 25 thousand square meters of tiles per day, for a total of over eight million square meters of product a year.

The contract was signed on May 28 at the Indonesian Republic Ministry office in the presence of the highest authorities of the country, including the Industry minister M.S. Hidayat and vice-minister Alex Retraubun. Management from both companies also presided: CEO, Tandean Rustandy, and executive director of the plant, Edy Suyanto were present for Arwana Citramulia, while Paolo Mongardi, president of Sacmi, and Luca Ferraris, general director of Sacmi Impianti Jakarta, intervened on behalf of Sacmi.

Sacmi supplied all the main machines that make up the plant, from mills to driers, from presses to kilns, as well as the handling solutions and the end-of-the-line machines. The new facility, located in Mojokerto, on the east side of the island of Java, will start production in 2016 and is the latest addition to four other plants already in operation that make Arwana Citramulia the leader in the medium market segment. For Sacmi, this represents a consolidation of an industrial partnership that began in 2005 and that has already resulted, over the years, in several important supplies to the Indonesian company listed on the Jakarta stock exchange.
