Kaleseramik, the company belonging to the Turkish Group Kale (founded in 1957 by Dr. İbrahim Bodur) and operating in the ceramic wall and floor tiles, granite ceramics, ceramic sanitaryware, bathtub, shower cubicles and bathroom/kitchen accessory markets under the Kale brand name, has now reinforced its partnership with the Sacmi Group.
At the Çan plant a new glazing system - with four 9-axis GA 2000 Gaiotto robots arranged along 4 lines - recently became fully operative, thus boosting Gaiotto’s 20-year technological contribution to the sanitaryware plant of Kaleseramik’s fortunes even further.
The GA 2000 robot is reliable, precise and efficient: qualities that ensure an excellent finish for complex products such as wall-mounted and back-to-wall WCs while reducing manufacturing waste.
The upshot is an output rate of some 4.000 pieces per day and a production system of extraordinary flexibility, largely because of cutting-edge programming and self-learning solutions.
All this has been made even more effective by linking the robot to the Mass Control System, which ensures optimisation of glaze feed and maximizes repeatability of the piece glazing process.
The system’s many features includes the possibility of achieving full glaze recovery via the use of booths with dry filters: these result in lower production costs thanks to reduced glaze waste and enhanced environmental sustainability thanks to decreased contamination of the booth washing water.
