Labelling technology goes on show in the States

Already widely tested and acclaimed by the industry’s global players, the Opera Roll Fed labeller will be on show at the Pack Expo fair in Chicago, together with Sacmi-developed turnkey solutions for the beverage industry.

Versatile design, flexible management of materials and, above all, so efficient that it reduces plastic roll costs by up to 20%. These, then, are the key advantages of the Roll Fed labeller, which will be the star of the Sacmi stand (n° S-2038) at Pack Expo International in Chicago (2-5 November 2014).

Opera Roll Fed is a simple yet perfect high-speed labelling system. It can apply wrap-around labels to cylindrical or shaped containers, in PET, glass or metal. Opera has also been designed to minimise maintenance and ensure extremely fast size changeovers. And the cutting system is guaranteed for 100,000,000 labels.
Output rates: up to 60,000 bph. Efficiency: 98%.

It is with pride, then, that Sacmi now presents the solution on the vital American market, which is overseen by its subsidiary Sacmi USA, a partner customers can count on from the plant engineering design stage to the supply of spare parts and after-sales assistance.
The international Chicago fair will see the Group present its full range of solutions for the beverage industry, from the CCM (continuous compression moulding) series presses, which represent the most competitive solution currently on the market for the production of HDPE and PP caps in terms of cycle times and energy consumption, to the new IPS (injection preform system) technology for the manufacture of preforms. Also on show will be the CBF (compression blow forming) technological platform that lets producers go directly from pellet to container, using all the usual commercially available resins (HDPE, PS, PET and PP). Completing the picture are solutions for hot and cold filling and a new range of SBF (stretch blow forming) units that, thanks to their dual cavity, allow (sub-litre) bottles to be made two at a time, with proportional advantages in terms of productivity.

A comprehensive, turnkey plant engineering range that - together with the reliability of the proposed solutions, developed and tested by the Sacmi R&D facility every step of the way starting from the design stage – makes the Group a pivotal industry player. This year the R&D facility was awarded certification by soft drink giant Pepsi for the testing of bottles, preforms and plastic caps: another feather in our cap, then, and a further guarantee for customers who continue to see Sacmi as a key provider to the global beverage industry.
