Beneath clear March skies, the county of Loudon (Tennessee) recently played host to the stylish inauguration of the new Del Conca USA plant, an admirable cutting-edge facility on the banks of the river Tennessee. In the presence of important local officials and representatives of the State of Tennessee, Enzo Donald Mularoni officially cut the ribbon to celebrate the plant becoming fully operational and proudly showed off the new site - the offices, showroom and, of course the very heart of Del Conca USA, the production line itself - to the numerous invitees.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Pietro Cassani, General Manager of the Sacmi Group, and Luca Berrone, head of Sacmi USA. Together, they proudly observed the smoothly-running machines supplied by Sacmi to the plant’s various departments: modular continuous grinding, spray drying, blunging to feed waste back into the system, pressing and drying, firing, handling and storage, all the way to the final sorting and packaging system provided by Nuova Sima, the Sacmi Group company that specialises in end-of-line solutions. Particularly noteworthy was the decision to equip the PH5000XXL presses with the high-performance Fast Die Change system, a made-in-Sacmi device that rationalises and speeds up size changeover tasks on the press, saving precious minutes and maximising both efficiency and productivity, exactly as requested by the Del Conca Group.
By meeting the challenging demands of Del Conca’s management in terms of scheduling, product quantity and quality, Sacmi has played a key role in making the Del Conca USA project an outstanding success. In just 10 months an empty plot of land has been transformed into a production facility running at full capacity, all thanks to perfect coordination with the constructor and the various local contractors and skilled supervision by the Del Conca Group’s technical management.
A beautiful day in early Spring… blossoming like the US adventure of this major San Marino group.
