New Gaiotto robot for Russian firm Oao Viz

Sacmi glazing technology goes from strength to strength

The relationship between Gaiotto Automation, a Sacmi Group company specialising in the design, development and construction of automated processes for the ceramic industry, and OAO VIZ, a Russian company based in Ekaterinburg, the biggest industrial city in the Urals, is a mutually rewarding and very long-standing one. The interconnecting link between the Vaiano Cremasco-based company and the one in Russia’s fourth-largest city is Sipama srl, a Vicenza-based business that has been supplying the Russian market with specialist equipment and moulding plants for over ten years.

Over the last few weeks, in fact, Gaiotto technicians installed a Ga2000 glazing robot on the OAO VIZ production lines. This latest arrival joins the other 4 Gaiotto-made robots in operation at the Ekaterinburg plant, all installed following the establishment, in 1990, of the business relations that continue to this day. The Ga2000, which features glaze spraying aerograph systems, was installed on an existing line for the manufacture of ceramic bathtubs, clearly underlining the outstanding flexibility and adaptability of Gaiotto’s flagship product.

With a reputation for efficiency and innovation, Gaiotto has proved to be a reliable partner in the difficult task of integrating new machines into existing manufacturing facilities.
