New Kuchinsky Kermichesky Zavod – 1 LLC plant successfully completed and started up

The challenge undertaken by Polish giant Rovese (Cersanit) was certainly far from a simple one: a takeover of the ceramic plant Kuchinski, based in Kuchino (Russia), renovation and modernisation of its existing machinery, extension of the factory building and of the plant itself using new strategic technology and, lastly, expansion of the product range. A challenge that, nevertheless, has been met successfully thanks to the ongoing partnership with SACMI in all the main production departments: clay dissolving, grinding, spray drying, pressing and drying, firing, sorting and palletization.

For this latest milestone in the internationalisation process, the management of Rovese and Cersanit Russia decided to go for cutting-edge SACMI solutions such as the latest-generation presses – wide, high-tonnage and the biggest installed by the Group – and modular grinding. More specifically, the installation of small modules connected directly (without pumps) to the existing continuous mill outfeed ports proved to be a winning move that has allowed full reutilisation of the original machines and boosted their output capacity.

Having quickly become one of the world’s top ten tile and sanitaryware manufacturers, the Rovese Group has, thanks to the new Kuchinsky Keramichesky Zavod-1 LLC plant, now increased output capacity even further and extended its presence on what is one of the most promising construction markets.
