New production line for Ceramica Granitoforte

The latest Sacmi-supplied machines will boost output to 55,000 m2/day

Ceramica Granitoforte, which has its main managerial headquarters in Ubersetto di Fiorano (Modena), is one the most productive and best-performing companies in the industry and is now all set to boost output to 55,000 square metres a day thanks to its five kilns, ten presses and a continuous grinding plant.

Sacmi’s contribution to these results has been significant: so much so, in fact, that Ceramica Granitoforte has just ordered a further production line. Soon, then, four PH 2890 presses and an 88.2-metre FMS 285 kiln will be added to the machine pool at Ceramica Granitoforte’s production plant in Fresagrandinaria (Chieti).

Sacmi will be completing this already-comprehensive order by providing other key elements. These include, above all, a set of dies – produced by Sacmi Molds&Dies – and a complete glazing line.
The production line is of the continuous cycle type and Sacmi has therefore equipped it with a Maxicompenser to feed the kiln directly. This considerably increases efficiency and consequently reduces costs.
Sacmi has also supplied the “end-of-line” section, providing a cutting-edge sorting and palletising system built by the subsidiary Sacmi Automation.
