New production technologies in Japan

First cutting unit soon to be shipped to the Far East

Despite the economic recession that continues to render the Japanese economy and, in particular, its ceramic industry, sluggish, Japanese manufacturers are still highly attentive when it comes to new production technologies that improve the efficiency and quality of the production process. The Osaka-based Danto Corp. has, in fact, confirmed that it will be purchasing a double-cutting machine (mod.TPD175) produced by SACMI s.c.a.r.l.; this is the very first unit of its kind to be supplied to the Far East. This machine, designed to cut pressed ceramic slabs before they are dried, will be installed as part of a new pressing line (also produced by SACMI) soon to be set up at the Utsonomyia plant in the north of the country.
