Nuova Fima: re-employment plan completed successfully and ahead of schedule

Production has recommenced and Nuova Fima is once again a reference point for the sorting line and automatic inspection system sector, not only in terms of products but also with regard to spare parts and after-sales technical assistance.

“Sacmi”, explains Nuova Fima’s CEO, Maurizio Bardi, “has also reinforced and completed its product range, making it a major ‘end of line’ player. Nuova Fima’s sorting lines and Surface Inspection’s vision systems integrate perfectly with the range offered by Sacmi Automation, with Kemac’s mosaic and trim production systems and products by Sima, specialised in the design and construction of product handling/storage systems and, for some time now, an active player in the production of automatic laser-guided vehicles.”

The local mayor, Claudio Pistoni, said “I’m very pleased that the crisis which hit Nuova Fima is now over: sacrifices have had to be made on the employment front, but an optimal solution for the situation in which the company found itself has been implemented. I feel pleased for the workers who have been able to return and also because Fiorano has succeeded in maintaining one of its key ceramic brands; this solution actually reinforces Sacmi’s presence and opens up new development prospects for the area.

The recession is still far from over, not least because of the uncertainties of the Italian government, but we are more than capable of dealing with it where everyone involved responds positively and appropriately – as has happened with Nuova Fima”.
