Partnership between Creavit and Sacmi reinforced

Sacmi supplies Turkish firm with yet another key order

A second Riedhammer tunnel kiln has now been installed and started up by the Çanakcilar Group (operating under the brand name Creavit) based in the Turkish province of Zonguldak.

Creavit’s complete satisfaction with the product quality and energy consumption of the first Riedhammer tunnel kiln, which has been working since 1997, is clearly demonstrated by their decision to install a second tunnel kiln, model TWS 96/300/75 – G, with a DWS 12/300/75-W pre-dryer.

Now started up successfully, the kiln has an output capacity of 2,800 pieces per day. It operates on a 12-hour cycle, reaching a maximum temperature of 1,190°C with a production mix that includes both complex wall-hung and back-to-wall WCs and countertop washbasins in fine fire-clay up to 120 cm wide.

Equipping the kiln with the EMS 400 heat recovery system with combustion air pre-heat allows attainment of a specific consumption of just 800 kCal per kg of fired product, while a water/fume heat exchanger provides hot water for various uses around the factory.

This strategic investment will allow the Turkish company to improve its positioning on the Turkish sanitaryware scene and move closer to achieving its declared goal of strengthening its presence in Europe and the Middle East.
