Partnership with Sogutsen Seramik continues

Expansion of production plants entrusted to Sacmi.

Sacmi has been chosen by the new management at the historic Turkish company of Sogutsen Seramik to extend production facilities near the city of Sogut.
One of Sacmi’s biggest customers in central Anatolia, Sogutsen Seramik has, in fact, just commissioned a plant with an output of 48,000 m2 per day. The investment includes an MTC140 continuous mill and an ATM200 spray drier that, together with the kilns, will be the largest ceramic production machines in Turkey. The pressing department consists of eight PH2090 presses with relative driers and two twin-channel RKK2850 kilns that are, equipped with pre-kiln driers, a staggering 157 metres long per channel. To complete the plant there are also five Sacmi-built Master sorting and palletizing lines and an all-new pallet handling system with laser-guided vehicles, all supplied by the Sacmi Group.
With this investment Sogutsen, which has relied on Sacmi as a technological partner since 1973, will double its output capacity, reaching 30 million square metres a day. Start-up is forecast for summer 2006.
