Riedhammer-made anodes arrive in Kazakhstan

Complete plant for Kas in Pavlodar now nearing completion

Riedhammer, the Sacmi Group company specialising in the supply of plant engineering solutions for the production of anodes and cathodes, has successfully complete the installation of a new kiln at Kas in Pavlodar (Kazakhstan). After a 2011 of intense work that began in May with the first stage of plant assembly, the following months saw Riedhammer complete the refractory lining of the kiln – an open-chamber model with 50 anode firing sections – and, in December, deliver the firing system and the first loading-unloading crane.

The same month, Kas started up the drying process, and when the plant becomes fully operational – a goal expected to be achieved by May 2012 – it will reach an annual output rate of some 150,000 tons of first class product. In the meantime, a second batch of loading/unloading cranes plus an innovative fume treatment plant have been despatched to Kazakhstan.

The world’s leading designer and producer of kilns for tableware, sanitaryware and technical items, Riedhammer has, with this project, once again confirmed itself to be a highly skilled sole partner for the production of these particular types of ceramic. The plant was, in fact, designed and built is close collaboration with Kas and the entire installation process was carried out on schedule, much to the customer’s satisfaction.
