SACMI: one, two, three, go!

Poland, Vietnam, Russia: another three worldwide warehouses

Sacmi’s worldwide expansion continues. Over the coming months there will be three inaugurations in three different countries: Poland, Vietnam and Russia. The aim is to set up comprehensive warehouse facilities in these emerging markets to provide all customers with fast-response services capable of meeting both today’s and tomorrow’s needs. The first to be inaugurated will be the warehouse at Tomasow, 30 km from Opoczno, right at the heart of the polish ceramics industry. This new Sacmi facility has been conceived to provide customers with the spare parts and skills that will be needed for the proper running of plants (of which there are already 15) in this country. December, instead, will take Sacmi to Ho Chi Min City in Vietnam. Given the potentiality of the market and the growing importance of state services and industry in this key Asian country, this move is essential. There are already some 15 Sacmi plants up and running in Vietnam. Last but not least comes Moscow, where Sacmi shall be opening a new warehouse in 2003. This facility will require attentive organisation as it is to serve a vast area, so a few months’ extra preparation will be required in this case. Moscow is the ideal location as it allows Sacmi to benefit from the support of existing facilities there. The warehouse will also serve customers and companies in the packaging industry.
