The novelties of the Ceramics&Tiles Division

At the coming edition of the Monaco-held CERAMITEC fair the SACMI Ceramics&Tiles Division will be presenting the new PH 6200 tile press. This is the latest addition to the high-output POWER range – particularly suitable for large porcelain tiles – which already includes the PH 4800, PH3800 and PH 3020. The new PH 6200 is characterised by a high load width and, despite its generous dimensions, a fast pressing cycle. It is also equipped with an Electronic Proportional Lifting (SPE) system which features an axes synchronisation board: providing precision, speed and total planarity control, it is perfect for very large dies and thus ensures long-lasting performance of all die parts. The PHR 500, the latest in the new series of refractory presses, will also be on show: while this gem of a machine is smaller than its sister models, it retains all their advanced technological characteristics. It is, therefore, especially suitable for the production of bricks and special items such as nozzles, checkers and pipes. A longer version with a powder fill depth of 800 mm is also available. Functional characteristics, such as filler box with rotating vanes, synchronised moving part motion, use of proportional control valves on all hydraulic controls and integrated control software, allow complex pieces to be formed with a precision that would be unthinkable with other technologies. The main technical specifications are as follows: pressing force 5500 kN, ejection force 614 kN, filling depth 500 (*800) mm, weight 280 (*300) kN [*long version]. As regards extruded products Sacmi shall be presenting, in addition to the already well-known Grèsestruso Rapido, new and innovative roof tile production plants featuring rapid roller driers and rapid roller kiln firing.
