SACMI becomes a BMR shareholder

Official as of 4th July, this partnership reinforces SACMI's role as a sole provider covering all ceramic manufacturing areas, with end-of-line solutions playing a crucial role

SACMI has purchased a 20% share in BMR. The official announcement, made on 4th July, was the culmination of a long-standing industrial and technological partnership in end-of-line solutions.

Founded in 1968, BMR is acknowledged as the leading Made in Italy technology supplier for ceramic product squaring, cutting, lapping and surface treatment operations.

The foundation of this agreement, observes Paolo Sassi, President of BMR, is the partners' “fully shared industrial and commercial development goals”, allowing both parties to boost their capacity to provide markets with complete, personalised, just in time solutions.

"A share in BMR”, explains Paolo Mongardi, President of SACMI Imola, "strengthens SACMI's role as a sole provider, capable of managing every stage of the ceramic process from raw materials to finished product”.

Already the world's N° 1 supplier to the industry, SACMI has long since identified integration of the various manufacturing stages downstream from the kiln as strategically vital to the interception of growing market demand for personalised products, shorter time-to-market and efficient management of even very small production runs.

This operation also has the advantage of allowing for the development of technological and sales synergies. Thanks to the far-reaching SACMI Global Network and the extensive experience of the BMR team - which already works alongside major ceramic firms worldwide - such synergies will also allow further integration of Customer Services.
