Sacmi Digital Decoration for Belarus company JSC Beryozastroymaterialy

Intesa-built COLORA HD2 installed and started up successfully

Since the start of the year JSC Beryozastroymaterialy (a manufacturer of high quality tiles that has always focussed on products of a high technological standard) has launched an investment plan that aims to raise product quality, introduce new designs, optimise use of materials, reduce waste and improve logistics. The decision to focus on the opportunities offered by digital decoration was of strategic importance to this plan and therefore the company chose a COLORA HD2 built by Intesa, the Sacmi Group company that specialises in digital printing and glazing solutions for ceramic tiles.

Featuring 5 colour bars, each with 7 print heads, the COLORA HD2 can print any type of pattern at speeds of up to 48 m/min. Given the effective print width, which reaches 488 mm, the machine is also highly suitable for large sizes and complex designs. This latest machine was successfully installed and started up on one of the single-firing lines, which produces no less than 1.5 million square metres of 400x400 and 300x300 tiles per year.

The company’s internal graphics studio paid careful attention to new pattern development, while Sacmi’s technicians provided JSC staff with close support throughout machine installation and testing. Owned by the Ministry of Agricultural Construction, this company, based in Beryoza in the region of Brest (Belarus), thus completes another strategic stage of an investment plan involving an output that, taking into account double firing and third firing operations, exceeds 10 million square metres a year.
