Sacmi Nanhai: cutting the tape

Inauguration set for 1st June

Everything is now ready for the inauguration of the Sacmi Nanhai plant in Foshan City, in China’s Guangdong province. Another key achievement for the Sacmi Group, this new plant represents a further milestone in the quest for greater penetration of the Chinese market. Designed to offer Chinese customers a complete range of services, the plant will produce machines and spare parts, mainly for the ceramics market, and will also provide a technical assistance hub.

The official opening ceremony will be at 3 p.m. on 1st June: guests will include local authority figures and, of course, the managers of Sacmi Nanhai and representatives from the parent company, Sacmi Imola. A tour of the new facilities, scheduled for 4 p.m., will allow invitees to take a first-hand look at the new 6000 m2 workshop and the 2000 m2 spare parts storage and technical services facility. A further 1500 m2 has been set aside for offices plus 300 m2 for the canteen and utilities. Further expansion already looks likely and the company may in the future build factory sheds and other buildings on the site’s remaining 23,000 m2.

This new factory – an essential resource for existing and potential Chinese customers in the ceramics business – is located in the scientific-technological district of Foshan City. To contact the Sacmi Nanhai plant call +86-757-81206111 (fax +86-757-81206168).
