Sacmi Whiteware continues to internationalise

Two new area managers to strengthen our presence on emerging markets

Internationalisation and penetration of new markets are sales strategy constants at Sacmi: participation in fairs and events of worldwide prestige has yielded Sacmi sales agreements with major ceramic manufacturers, especially in developing countries: nations that are only just now joining the global market, or those that have only done so recently, such as India, China, some African states and the Middle East. Markets with constant double-figure growth rates, a growth that is often accompanied by a booming construction industry and the emergence of a new middle class: ideal conditions, then, for go-getting tile and sanitaryware producers.

Hence Sacmi’s need for a skilled overseas sales organisation that is capable of meeting the challenges presented by these emerging markets. The latest Group initiatives in this regard include the nomination of two new Sacmi Whiteware Division area managers, Giorgio Renolfi and Andrea Cannella. The former will oversee Central and North Africa, some Asian countries such as Afghanistan and Pakistan, and the Middle-eastern States of Iraq and Israel. Most importantly, Mr. Renolfi will also be following the booming Indian market, which has growth rates second only to China. Andrea Cannella, instead, has been assigned the task of “covering” Turkey, together with Arabia Saudita and Oceania.
