Sacmi Whiteware in Vietnam

Midland construction corporation

The new vitreous china sanitaryware production plant being supplied by SACMI WhiteWare to the Midland Construction Corporation (Vietnam) is now nearing completion. The plant, located at Da Nang in central Vietnam, consists of a complete production line for the manufacture of some 300,000 articles per year. SACMI WhiteWare will be covering every single stage of the production process: machines for the preparation of bodies and glazes, casting benches, driers and tunnel kilns. Significantly, SACMI WhiteWare will also be supplying mother-moulds, know-how for the production of bodies and glazes from local raw materials and the engineering skills needed for the construction works, the industrial systems and locally-supplied elements. This is the second plant to be built by Sacmi WhiteWare in Vietnam and is similar to the first; the latter was supplied to the Thien Thanh Sanitary wares Company (Ho Chi Minh City), and its commissioning was successfully completed in November 1996. The experience gained in the construction of the Thien Thanh plant, together with the advantages of the SACMI Whiteware organisation, has proved to be extremely valuable in the successful completion of the Midland Construction Corporation plant.
