Sacmi and Oystar establish important new beverage partnership

Combining their relative know-how and skills, the two companies will work together to develop new synergies and solutions for the packaging industry.

The Sacmi Group has signed a cooperation agreement with German packaging machine producer Oystar for the supply of complete lines to the packaging industry, especially as regards the beverage business.

This partnership will allow both companies to reinforce their market presence and seize new opportunities through enhanced process integration: Oystar Hamba Flexline aseptic filling machines will, in fact, be employed in conjunction with Sacmi blow moulding and filling machines; more specifically, they will be used with CBF (Compression Blow Forming) rotary presses that produce containers directly from pellets. The transformation process used by CBF is based on continuous extrusion, compression moulding and stretch blow moulding of the plastic material.

At a later stage, then, lines including both Sacmi machines for labelling, palletization, end-of-line machines and Oystar filling and packaging machines will become available.

Pietro Cassani, Sacmi Group General Manager, firmly believes the product ranges of the two companies to be complementary: "We’ll remain independent, but through close collaboration we’ll be providing our customers with real added value".
