Sacmi heads for China with “extra large” kilns and digital decorators

Group to take part in Ceramics China 2012 as part of the Italian Acimac mission

Ceramics China 2012 is gearing up to welcome a large group of Italian companies that, under the direction of Acimac (Associazione costruttori italiani macchine per la ceramica - the association of Italian ceramic-making machine constructors) and with the support of the Italian Foreign Trade Institute, will be presenting a wide range of technological excellence. Needless to say, at this key Chinese ceramic and sanitaryware technology fair, set to take place from 28 to 31 May and this year organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Ccpit), Sacmi will be among them, displaying all its latest firing and digital decoration solutions.

One of the showpieces will be a 300 m2 stand (Hall 3.1, stand C103) – displaying a module of the new XXL385 kiln, an “extra large” model with a channel that is a staggering 3850 mm wide, able to process a significantly higher number of tiles than kilns of equal length currently available on the market. Just perfect, then, for the production of large tiles: the central kiln section, for example, comfortably holds five 60x60 cm tiles or three 100x100 cm slabs, raising production performance and flexibility while smoothing management and making maintenance easier. Moreover, the solution also has several energy consumption optimisation features, such as a system that recovers hot air from the cooling zone and channels it directly to the burners, which have also been redesigned for optimal management of the firing curve.

Another prime attraction on the Sacmi stand will be the digital decoration solutions, such as the innovative Colora HD 906-4 digital decoration machine. Key machine features include an advanced ink feed system which allows management of all the critical parameters such as temperature, flow rate and pressure. The Colora HD also provides outstanding precision, cleanliness and simplified maintenance and is able to ensure output continuity and easy restarts even in the event of mains power cuts.

At the fair the Sacmi Group will also be holding a joint conference with Syneco, the world’s leading producer of industrial lubricants. The subject will be “the benefits and importance of good hydraulic oil filtration for presses and the introduction onto the Chinese market of synthetic oils”. The meeting will take place on 28th May from 13.30 to 15.30 in the Pazhou Exhibition Hall (A Zone, Baiyun Room) and is aimed at illustrating all the advantages of correct lubrication– starting with the choice of lubricant – with regard to good press performance, environmental impact and energy savings.
