Sacmi participates in the Iranian Ceramic Society Congress

Key role played by the Sacmi Group at congress held in the University of Tehran

Among the key protagonists of the 5th Iranian Ceramic Society Congress - held in Tehran at the University of Science and Technology last 14th-15th December - were the Sacmi Ceramics&Tiles and Whiteware divisions. This meeting offered a unique opportunity to bring together the industry’s biggest systems supplier, the Sacmi Group, and university/research facilities in a country with one of the most dynamic ceramic and sanitaryware industries in the entire region – a region itself characterised by fast-expanding markets. The Imola-based Group presented some of its latest technology and services. Silvano Gigli, tile and extruded products technological manager, gave a talk on “Twinpress: new frontiers in the development of ceramic/sanitaryware aesthetics”. Eugenio Ferragina, General Manager of the Whiteware division, instead, illustrated “Sanitaryware casting techniques and technology”. Talks were also given by Giovanni Lancieri, tile sales manager, and Gian Pietro Piancastelli, senior area manager of the Whiteware Division.
