Sacmi’s on-line services praised in “Imballaggio”

The December issue of Imballaggio, Italy’s number one packaging industry magazine, is now out. In addition to the usual high-standard articles and reports, this issue features an in-depth interview with Cinzia Gennarelli, the Sacmi Group’s web marketing and e-services manager. The interview focuses on the on-line services the Imola-based parent company offers its customers - services considered to be a shining example of business to business internet technology "Just over a year ago”, explains Cinzia Gennarelli, “Sacmi set up an innovative web marketing service that uses a technological platform developed in-house. Each customer has his own username and password, providing access to his own customised web area. Here, he can resolve basic difficulties by consulting the FAQ section (i.e. answers to the most frequent queries regarding his machine pool) or open a technical file with a description of the problem and send it to a technician who will respond within just a few hours”. So far, results have been encouraging: “One year on”, emphasises Gennarelli, “the level of interest continues to rise, especially in emerging economies such as the Czech Republic, while the Italians still seem to prefer phone and fax”. Summing up, Cinzia Gennarelli stressed “the strategic role played by web marketing in the achievement of Group goals” and, therefore, Sacmi’s commitment to continued investment in on-line relations with its customers.
