Sacmi technology for Russian firm Kirovskaya Keramica 1853

New robotized glazing system tested successfully

As part of a wider output capacity expansion plan, Kirovskaya Keramica 1853 has given Gaiotto, a Sacmi Group company, the task of completing a new 1600-piece-per-day robotized glazing system.

Successfully tested at the end of October, the system includes two inspection booths with a Visus Centering automatic camera-equipped piece position recognition system.

All booths feature dry filters: these do away with any need for chimneys towards the outside and allow for the recovery of all the glaze filtered in the form of dry dust.
The line proceeds with two robotized glazing booths positioned in sequence to allow two glaze applications, thus preventing any glaze dripping/running problems and ensuring maximum quality.
The piece handling system uses fully automatic storage conveyors and angular transfer devices while at the outfeed a further automatic device executes sponging of the foot.
Glazing cycle programming takes place in “self learning” mode; the task being executed by the worker is saved immediately as a programme and subsequently reproduced faithfully by the robot.

On the Russian market Kirovskaya Keramica has an excellent reputation, its output being widely renowned for outstanding practicality and quality.
