Sama, Laeis, Riedhammer: cutting-edge technical ceramic

Complete, innovative “turnkey” plants to meet all the customer’s needs

A significant portion of the European ceramic industry’s future lies in so-called “technical ceramic”, high-performance ceramic materials with properties such as outstanding resistance to wear, corrosion and high temperature. Sacmi Group partners Sama, Laeis and Riedhammer supply “turnkey” production plants for the most advanced ceramic components.

These three German companies design and build complete plants for the production of technical ceramic. In addition to personalising the products they also provide customers with close support for optimisation of results. Sama, Laeis and Riedhammer all supply machines with outstanding output rates and cutting-edge technological solutions that ensure exceptional finished product precision - giving customers a sharp competitive edge.

More specifically, Sama makes plants for the preparation of raw materials: these include its high-performance wet and dry grinding mills. Sama is also fully committed to the implementation of innovative production processes for the making of fuel cell components: the latest project to be completed was the Fga 500 belt casting machine. Then there is the top-flight technology of Laeis: their hydraulic presses are characterised by very high mould precision. Riedhammer, instead, is the world leader in the firing of advanced ceramic components, offering comprehensive coverage of a complex production process that involves drying, pre-sintering, sintering and firing/tempering.
