Sama joins Europe’s magnificent 500

A key member of the Sacmi Group, this German company is now officially one of the fastest-growing and best job-creating companies in Europe.

Sama Maschinenbau GmbH, a leading international supplier of ceramic production plants and machines for the tableware industry, has been included in the Europe 500, the annual list of Europe’s five hundred best companies as calculated according to rapidity of growth and job creation performance. Based in Weissenstadt (Germany) and a member of the Sacmi Group since 1997, Sama Maschinenbau was ranked 245th on the 2003 list.

The Europe 500 was created in 1996 on the initiative of GrowthPlus, the European “dynamic entrepreneurs” association. The 2003 edition enjoyed the support of high-calibre names such as 3i, Microsoft and the Boston Consulting Group and also won patronage from the President of the European parliament, Pat Cox.

For Sama Maschinenbau GmbH - and the entire Sacmi Group – being part of Europe’s magnificent 500 is seen as quite an achievement. Sama (part of the Sacmi Group’s tableware and technical ceramic division) has achieved that success thanks to its incredibly skilled staff and constant research into innovative technology.
