Saudi Ceramics keeps on growing with Sacmi

Major order from Saudi giant: daily output capacity boosted by 52,000 m2/day

Given ever-increasing market demand, Saudi Ceramics, one of the main protagonist of the Saudi ceramic scenario, has decided to invest again in Sacmi’s technological solutions. Thanks to the recently completed production plan, Saudi Ceramics has raised its production capacity by 26,000 square metres a day, with a body preparation department which is already equipped to cope with an additional 26,000 m2 increase.

Implemented solutions are highly innovative: the grinding department is equipped with 3 Sacmi machines, one MMC 138 and two MMC 092 mills, designed to optimise the grinding process and provide electricity and grinding media consumption savings together with a corresponding increase in efficiency of 10% compared to standard continuous mills. The order also consisted of three dual-fuel spray driers (two 11,000 l/hour ATMs and another 18,000 l/hour one) and four high-productivity PH 3020 presses. Also supplied were the vertical EVA driers and two 170-metre FMS kilns, equipped with all the latest Sacmi devices to ensure precision product control at every stage of firing plus significant energy savings.

Efficient and flexible, this Sacmi-supplied plant allows Saudi Ceramics to make a real-time switch from floor tile red body to porous red body and glazed porcelain tile. Once the first production line has been assembled, Saudi Ceramics has immediately completed the project by purchasing another four Sacmi PH 3020 presses, four vertical EVA driers and another two 170-metre FMS kilns.
