Second robotized sanitaryware glazing line started up at the RAK Bangladesh plant

RAK Group presses ahead with its automation programme

As part of the ongoing modernisation and automation of its sanitaryware production facilities, the RAK Group has reached yet another milestone by installing and successfully starting up a robotized glazing line at its plant near Dhaka.

This is similar to the line installed back in 2010, supplied by Sacmi/Gaiotto and equipped with a 4-position turret and a Gaiotto GA2000 8-axis robot.

With the addition of this latest line the firm has achieved - in addition to a marked increase in productivity thanks to consistency in the number of pieces being produced - excellent results in terms of final product quality.

This is largely the outcome of using the Masscontrol® system which is, in a country with such difficult climatic conditions, particularly effective as it can control the quantity of dry glaze applied on the various glazed pieces, ensuring a degree of consistency that would otherwise be impossible.

With robotised glazing, then, the quality sanitaryware articles produced by the RAK Group have reached even higher levels of excellence.
