Serenissima gets new storage system and sorting/palletization lines

Latest improvements focus on all-round automation

Sacmi-Nuovasima recently supplied Serenissima Cir Industrie Ceramiche with a new storage system that holds unfired ceramic products on roller boxes and fired items on pallets. The system makes use of loading/unloading machines controlled by an automatic laser-guided handling system and also features a computer-controlled supervision system.

Sacmi-Nuovasima also provided automatic sorting and palletizing lines. These belong to the very latest generation of machines with Flawmaster visual inspection systems for automatic tile selection. Completing the plant is an automatic pallet handling system that automates the entire finished product packaging process all the way to the warehouse.

The Serenissima Group, which inaugurated a new plant at Rubiera last June, is a leading global market supplier of residential floor and wall tiles marketed under the Serenissima, Cir, Capri and Isla Tiles brand names. Serenissima also offers excellent tiles for use in industrial and public environments, marketed under the Cercom brand, responds to the needs of the high-end luxury market with the Cerasarda brand and the architectural/design segment with the Momodesign Ceramics brand.
