Technology “made in Imola” for the Spanish firm Pamesa

A new Sacmi-built porcelain tile production line will become operative at the end of September

Steady acquisition of Sacmi technology continues to give Spanish producer Pemesa a welcome boost. Group technicians are currently concluding assembly of a new porcelain tile production line, set to become operative at the end of September. The line consists of a 4900 ton press (with an inter-column clearance of 2450 mm, capable of producing four 450x450 mm pieces per cycle) and a FMS 2850/140.7 kiln with an output capacity of 8 thousand square metres per day. Pamesa Ceramica specialises in the production, distribution and marketing of porcelain floor and wall tiles. The plant in Almazora (Castellon) employs 800 people.
This Spanish company is the owner of PAMESA BRASIL, which started producing red body floor tiles at the start of the year: line capacity is in the order of 9000 m²/day and the plant features a PH-3020 press and a SACMI FMS 2670/138 kiln. A similar line will start producing in 2005.
